You have a WAN. Probably a private MPLS WAN, and probably an Internet-based VPN as well. For the most part, you send your traffic across the private WAN, trusting your carrier to deliver your packets. If the private WAN goes down, the Internet is the backup you use, hoping to switch back to the private WAN as quickly as possible. Then you sprinkle into this mix of public and private WAN the concerns and complexities of QoS, routing protocols, and security.
Here’s the thing…WAN management doesn’t need to be quite so complex. Here on the Packet Pushers Priority Queue, we’re introducing CloudGenix, a software defined WAN company that not only reduces WAN management problems, but also makes it easier to enforce business policy in the cloud.
Kumar Ramachandran, CEO & Founder of CloudGenix
What We Discuss
Kumar discusses the CloudGenix value proposition with the Packet Pushers, addressing…
- The issues faced in complex WAN infrastructures.
- Why a whole different approach to WAN networking is required.
- How CloudGenix moves the WAN forward by managing hybrid WAN architectures, auto-detecting applications (even when encrypted), virtualizing & securing the WAN, and improving WAN performance at lower overall cost than traditional WAN.
Note: this show is an introduction to CloudGenix. Keep a lookout on the Weekly channel for a deeper look at CloudGenix technology coming up in May 2015.
