If you have ever gone through the process of setting up ACI, then you probably know how confusing and slow this process can be. Many people turn to faster solutions like Postman + JSON scripts which is prone to errors and difficult to maintain.
I wrote Acid to help in this process and speed up some of the more time intensive tasks. Acid can help you perform some of the initial configuration steps as well as speed up some of the repetitive tasks which end up taking a long time in the GUI.
Acid uses the same API as Postman to talk to ACI, but makes the use of it a bit easier, adds in some error checking, and provides a more intuitive interface for common tasks. I originally wrote Acid to help streamline installations and make them more “cookie-cutter”.
Acid is written in Python and is compatible with both Python 2 (2.7.13+) and Python 3 (3.6.x). It is also compiled into binaries for Windows, Mac, and Linux to make consumption easier without an interpreter.
Acid is provided in source and compiled binary versions on its Github repo at https://github.com/PackeTsar/acid
