Act appropriately towards other members.
The Slack group is a global and diverse community of IT professionals. If what you’re about to say might offend, don’t say it. We have zero tolerance for sexism, racism, ageism, bullying, stalking, etc. We do tolerate mansplaining, at least to a point. 😉
Be honest about products & sponsors.
We’re 100% okay if you share a bad experience about a vendor who happens to be a sponsor. You’ll never be booted for sharing a negative experience. We want you to share what actually happened, because that benefits the community—vendors included.
Don’t self-promote.
If you want to market to our audience, become a sponsor like hundreds of other companies have done. The Slack community is a marketing-free zone—a safe space where listeners can be themselves.
