It’s only been a couple of short weeks since this site officially launched. I have to say that I’m thrilled with the initial ‘buzz’ around the site. Many friends from various other technical blogs and social networking circles have shared The Tech Interview with their friends. In addition to thanking everyone for sharing this site, I offer a special thanks to those who are part of the Tech Field Day and PacketPushers communities. These communities have an undeniable voice.
Since the site launch, John and I have had both public and one-on-one discussions with individuals struggling in their technical careers. Our original presumption was that technical careers are often laden with unique and difficult challenges. The conversations that we have had affirm this presumption. Our hope with this site is to address some of the non-technical career challenges and hopefully make a real difference in the lives and careers of those who are passionate about technology.
Today, I would like to solicit input on how we can make the site better, grow the community and most importantly help our readers. If you have suggestions on any of the following, we’d love to hear from you.
- Site Content Ideas–What Do You Struggle With?
- Design Recommendations–Navigational or Aesthetic Issues You’ve Noticed on this Site
- Something You’d Like to See More Of–What are we doing right, but not enough?
- Any other General Suggestions–What Else Should or Could We Be Doing?

Thanks in advance for your help. While affirmation may keep us going, healthy criticism will make us better.
