We also include a few nerdy, fun questions because the discount marketing AI we bought on Amazon told us we need to “delight” our audience. So there you go.

Demographics! Sweet, sweet demographics.
It turns out that if you want companies to give you money, they expect something in return. The fine vendors who sponsor our podcasts want an idea of who’s listening, so we need to gather that data somehow.
The survey is the best way we’ve found, so until that marketing AI gets better at predicting lottery numbers, we’re stuck with the survey.
We don’t share individual information or responses with vendors, just the aggregate audience data. This information helps us land sponsors, which in turn helps make this whole operation viable.
And, as mentioned, we also get your feedback about how we’re doing. This feedback is an invaluable sanity check to make sure we’re not just ranting into a void. (We aren’t, right? Someone’s actually out there, right? Hello?)
